Pimpri Chinchwad civic body to take action as cheque bounce cases rise in property tax payments
PUNE: After the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation witnessed a surge in cheque bounce cases in property tax payments, the civic body has started issuing notices and initiating legal actions against defaulters. A senior official from the property tax department confirmed that in March 2025 alone, 780 cheques amounting to Rs 10.15 crore were dishonoured—the highest number recorded in recent years.
