Centre greenlights 5,000 homes for displaced in Manipur
IMPHAL | NEW DELHI: Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sanctioned the construction of 5,000 homes for the rehabilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Manipur, as confirmed by officials. The decision came after a meeting between the minister and Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh in the national capital on Monday evening. Khemchand was accompanied in the meeting by the state’s two deputy chief ministers, Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho.
