PUNE: Residents in many parts of Pimpri Chinchwad have intensified their protest to newly proposed roads in the draft of revised development plan (DP) with a call of bandh on June 30, claiming that the project would have a huge impact on many residential structures. Pimpri Chinchwad civic body cuts water supply to five societies over defunct STPs

PUNE: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has in the last two days disconnected water supply to five housing societies amid its crackdown on those who failed to make sewage treatment plants operational despite repeated warnings. Pimpri Chinchwad civic body issues notices to 82 dangerous buildings after pre-monsoon survey

PUNE: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has issued notices to 82 buildings identified as ‘dangerous’ during its pre-monsoon safety survey. Civic officials said there was a significant drop in the number of such structures compared to the last two years. They attributed the decline to building owners who either undertook repairs or opted for demolition. According to the PCMC officials, 132 unsafe buildings were identified in 2024,while 125 were identified in 2023.
