Panvel civic body collects ₹167 crore in property tax amnesty

NAVI MUMBAI: The Panvel City Municipal Corporation has recovered ₹167 crore in property tax from 60,082 property owners. With just one day remaining in the amnesty scheme (ending Aug 15), 37,519 owners have taken advantage of a 90% fine exemption, amounting to a total relief of ₹64.8 crore. NAVI MUMBAI: The Environmental Status Report 2024-25 for the Panvel City Municipal Corporation (PCMC), prepared by IIT-Bombay, indicates that the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) currently does not monitor the water quality of the polluted Taloja and Kasardi rivers because their waters are not utilized for drinking. PUNE: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has set a record in property tax collection during the first quarter of the 2025-26 financial year.
