MMRDA greenlights ₹12,000 crore for major metro projects, boosting Mumbai’s urban mobility

File Photo MUMBAI: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has cleared 19 projects worth over Rs 12,000 crore which includes cvil works for Metro Lines 4 (Wadala–Kasarvadavali), 4A (Kasarvadavali–Gaimukh), and 6 (Swami Samarth Nagar–Vikhroli–EEH). This includes a Rs 4,788 crore contract to Larsen & Toubro for delivering an integrated package on Lines 4 and 4A. To ensure smooth last-mile connectivity, MMRDA sanctioned Rs 535 crore for multi-modal integration across 32 Metro stations on Lines 4 and 4A. Four joint ventures will carry out this work.
