Parel Residents Protest ‘Polluting’ SRA Construction Site
MUMBAI: A residents’ forum in Parel has raised concerns with the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) regarding pollution control rule violations at a Slum Rehabilitation Authority (SRA) project site. The Parel-Bhoiwada Residents Federation reported that excavation and other activities often continue until 2 AM, while essential dust control measures are neglected. “There are no sprinklers or tarpaulin,” stated local resident Atul Jaywant.
