A 50% stamp duty concession for land transactions under MMRDA’s Pen township project

MUMBAI: The Maharashtra Cabinet on Tuesday approved a 50 per cent concession in stamp duty for land transactions linked to the state’s first large-scale urban project being executed under a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The project will be implemented by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and Raigad Pen Growth Centre Ltd in Pen taluka. This move will promote investment and generate employment opportunities, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) stated. Thane metro line V extension on cards to ease pressure off local trains

THANE: After the train accident in Mumbra, in which four passengers lost their lives, questions were raised about the crowd in the local trains beyond the stations of Thane. With the aim of reducing crowd in local trains, Kalyan Lok Sabha MP Shrikant Shinde called a meeting of senior officials of MMRDA in which it was decided to extend Metro Line 5, which is coming up to Kalyan from Thane via Bhiwandi, further to Ambernath via Ulhasnagar. MMRDA allots 8,411.88 sq meters commercial plot in BKC to Schloss Bangalore

NEW DELHI: The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has approved the allotment of a commercial plot in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai to a consortium led by Schloss Bangalore. The company along with its subsidiary Schloss Chanakya and Arliga Ecospace Business Parks, an affiliate of Brookfield, submitted a binding bid to lease the plot for a duration of 80 years. The plot area is 8,411.88 sq meters and the permissible built-up area is 33,647.52 sq meters. This is subject to demarcation and may vary as per site condition.
