MahaRERA crosses 50,000 housing project registrations
Representative image The number of housing projects registered with the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has crossed 50,000, making it the only state regulator in India to hit that milestone. As of now, 50,162 residential projects are registered with MahaRERA. Tamil Nadu ranks second with 27,609 projects, followed by Gujarat with 15,322. These three states are the only ones in the country with over 10,000 registered housing developments. Data from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs shows that a total of 1,44,617 housing projects are registered under RERA across India, with Maharashtra accounting for about 35% of them.…
