Maharashtra: Housing societies raise redevelopment and maintenance issues in feedback to draft rules
PUNE: The proposed uniformity in maintenance charges, transfer of share procedures, and quorum requirements for redevelopment meetings were among the key concerned raised by housing societies over the draft rules framed under the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960, officials said. The draft rules, which have been pending since the Act was amended in 2019, were published on April 15, following which state govt invited feedback by May 15. The cooperation department received more than 300 objections and suggestions, an official told TOI on Saturday.
