Jammu & Kashmir meets 97% PMAY-G target, builds 3.23 lakh homes

JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir has successfully completed over 300,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, reaching 97% of its target, as reported by officials on Sunday. Mohammad Aijaz Asad, Secretary of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, has urged officials to expedite construction for the remaining 11,340 houses under the scheme. In a meeting focused on reviewing the progress of PMAY-G in the Union Territory, he noted that the current phase of the initiative is nearing its conclusion, and all sanctioned projects must be finished without delay before the new phase commences.
