3,400 Bighas Allocated for Chandigarh City Project in Baddi

SHIMLA: A total of 3,428 bighas of land has been earmarked for residential development in the proposed Him Chandigarh City at Baddi, located in the Solan district. Additionally, around 5,000-6,000 bighas from the common pool have also been identified for the project. This information was disclosed during a cabinet sub-committee meeting held on Thursday, led by Himachal Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, which aimed to assess the progress of the Him Chandigarh City initiative. DHARAMSHALA | SHIMLA: On Friday, the Himachal Pradesh Assembly referred the state’s Tenancy and Land Reforms (Amendment) Bill, 2025 to the Select Committee following discussions. The Bill was meant for discussion and passing on the final day of the Winter Session. BJP member Randhir Sharma proposed referring the Bill to a Select Committee.
