Pune civic body razes illegal structures in funnel zone after Ahmedabad crash
Representative Image PUNE: The PMC demolished 24 illegal under-construction buildings in the funnel zone of Lohegaon airport within two weeks of Air India’s plane crash in Ahmedabad. The civic body launched its action against illegal constructions in the vicinity of the airport from Tuesday. Structures spread over 48,000sqft were demolished in two days. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)’s demolition drive on Tuesday focused on the bomb dump area, 900 metres from the airport’s boundary wall.
