Centre Sanctions 1.11 Crore Homes Under PMAY Schemes

NEW DELHI: The government has approved the construction of 1.11 crore houses under two schemes of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, with 95.54 lakh of these homes already completed and allocated to beneficiaries, Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, reported in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh government has received financial approval of ₹12,031 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) Mission 2.0, significantly advancing the goal of ‘Housing for All’ by providing pucca homes to the urban poor, according to an official statement released on Saturday.
