Hamirpur civic body to allot house numbers after property survey

HAMIRPUR: The Hamirpur Nagar Nigam will soon allot house numbers to all residential properties in the city following the completion of an ongoing property measurement survey, a senior official said on Thursday. SHIMLA: Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday distributed land ownership certificates to 25 beneficiaries in Kalpa block of Kinnaur district. Himachal Pradesh cabinet approves amendments to town planning rules

SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet on Monday approved amendments to the Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Rules, 2014, to restrict the construction of buildings on the valley side of the Shimla Municipal Corporation area. According to the new provisions, such constructions must be at least a metre below road level. The amendments aim to preserve the valley’s aesthetic appeal for visitors, according to a statement.
