NEW DELHI: The Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) is exploring various strategies to provide housing for the city’s slum dwellers. To this end, they will conduct a survey of the land they oversee and detect any encroachments. In a recent meeting, the DUSIB CEO instructed officials to map jhuggi jhopri clusters located on the agency’s properties and determine the extent of encroachment by each cluster, along with the number of families residing there. NEW DELHI: The MCD has launched 1,862 property tax camps across its 12 zones to help property owners file their taxes and take advantage of the Property Tax Amnesty Scheme introduced in May. As per MCD officials, over 48,546 taxpayers have benefited from these camps so far.
