Delhi Mayor Urges Clearing Property Tax Dues in Amnesty Scheme
NEW DELHI: Delhi Mayor Sardar Raja Iqbal Singh urged residents to pay overdue property taxes under the Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26, which includes waivers on interest and penalties. The offer ends on January 31. The Sumpattikar Niptaan Yojana (SUNIYO) allows taxpayers to completely waive property tax, interest, and penalties for dues from before the 2020-21 fiscal year, contingent on payment of the principal tax for the current year (2025-26) and for the previous five years (2020-21 to 2024-25).
