Canacona civic body to cut power & water supply of residents who fail to payhouse tax
CANACONA: In a recent meeting held at the Canacona Municipal Council office, it was unanimously resolved that it will ask electricity and water departments to disconnect supplies to the residents who failed to pay house tax. Of the nearly 5,000 registered houses within the municipal limits, just 30% are regularly paying the house tax, and the remaining 70% of the houses have been in arrears for over 5 years despite being issued repeated notices.
