Bengaluru metro phase-II stuck in hurdles

BENGALURU: Land acquisition hurdles, tree clearance delays, shortage of trains, and technical challenges are slowing down three key projects of Namma Metro’s Phase 2, further delaying services for commuters. Among the most affected is the Yellow Line, connecting RV Road to Bommasandra, which was scheduled to open a year ago. Despite completion of infrastructure work, a shortage of trains has hindered its launch.
