Aadhaar-Based Property Registration in UP Starts Feb 1
LUCKNOW: On Thursday, the state cabinet approved a proposal for an Aadhaar-based authentication system for property registration. Officials stated this initiative will combat land scams associated with fake registrations. State minister Ravindra Jaiswal mentioned that the decision was made during a review meeting led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on August 28 of the previous year, with the new system set to launch in all sub-registrar offices starting February 1. Through a notification dated August 2, 2024, the UP Online Document Registration Rules, 2024 will be implemented.
