NEW DELHI: British entrepreneur Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia has purchased an 11,416 sq ft apartment at The Camellias, DLF’s luxury residential development in Gurugram, for ₹100 crore, according to sources familiar with the transaction.
Ahluwalia, who sold his business Euro Car Parts, now leads Dominvs Group, a real estate, hospitality, and asset management firm based in London.
This represents the third ₹100-crore transaction within the upscale residential complex, which is home to several affluent residents. This trend highlights the ongoing post-pandemic demand for luxury housing in India.
Previously, Info-x Software Technology Pvt Ltd, represented by its director Rishi Parti, acquired a 16,000 sq ft penthouse in The Camellias for ₹190 crore, marking one of the highest apartment sale prices in the country.
In October 2023, the Economic Times reported on the initial ₹100-crore deal within this exclusive community located on Golf Course Road in Gurugram.
“I initially considered a farmhouse but opted for a gated condominium since we frequently visit India. We also own a property on Kautilya Marg, but prefer to reside in Gurugram,” Ahluwalia confirmed in a statement to RealtyDailyNews.
Luxury home prices in Gurugram and Delhi have surged significantly, bringing the rates of high-end apartments in Delhi’s southwest suburbs and bungalows in Lutyens’ zone in line with those in Mumbai’s most prestigious areas, now exceeding ₹120,000 per sq ft.
Approximately 15% of homeowners at The Camellias have transitioned from DLF’s other projects, ‘The Magnolias’ and ‘The Aralias’, also in Gurugram.
Most buyers in The Camellias are from the Delhi NCR region. Notable residents include Aman Gupta, founder of BoAt; JC Chaudhry, founder of Aakash Educational Services; and Elan Group, a real estate company.
Several startup founders have also reportedly made purchases within the complex.
Real estate analysts note a rising preference among ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) for gated condominiums rather than standalone bungalows, as these provide access to extensive amenities on-site.
