JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has extended the deadline for the online submission of Quarterly Progress Reports (QPR) for the period July-September 2025 by one month due to technical issues with its upgraded online platform. Developers can now submit their QPRs until November 30, replacing the original deadline of October 31.
RERA has confirmed that no processing fees or penalties will be imposed for submissions made during the extended period. Advocate Mitesh Rathore stated, “This extension was necessary due to IT technical problems, and it aims to ensure compliance without penalizing promoters who are affected by these issues.”
The system difficulties occurred following the launch of Raj RERA 2.0, the updated version of the state’s real estate regulatory portal, initiated in May by Urban Development and Housing Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra to celebrate eight years of RERA in Rajasthan. Even though the new platform became operational in August, frequent access and functionality problems have been reported by users, including both developers and homebuyers.
A senior RERA official explained, “We are in a transition phase from RERA 1.0 to RERA 2.0. Upgrades like these can take a few months to stabilize. While such transitions undoubtedly lead to issues, most have been resolved, and we expect the system to be fully functional very soon.”
Under RERA regulations, promoters must file online Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs) for their registered projects, providing detailed updates on the construction of apartments, buildings, floors, internal infrastructure, and common areas. They are also required to disclose information regarding approvals, bank accounts, plan revisions, and project-related permits, all of which are publicly accessible on the RERA website.
An official source commented, “QPR is a transparent process that informs investors and reflects the financial condition of developers. Delayed report submissions naturally create anxiety among buyers.”
