Rajasthan Housing Board Projects Thrive in Small Towns

JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has seen significant interest in its recently launched residential schemes targeting smaller towns and semi-urban areas within the state.

On August 20, urban development and housing minister Jhabar Singh Kharra introduced several residential and commercial initiatives across major towns, smaller communities, and semi-urban regions. Shortly after, RHB began accepting applications for these projects.

“Despite the application deadline being set for September 19, we received a higher volume of applications than available units for projects in Nainwa, Bundi district, and the Badi Road scheme in Dholpur. It’s encouraging to see such an interest even in semi-urban areas like Nainwa,” an official mentioned.

In Nainwa, RHB is constructing 72 independent houses catering to various income levels, with prices starting at Rs 7,80,000. Meanwhile, in Dholpur, a scheme featuring 64 flats aimed at economically weaker sections and lower-income groups has been introduced, beginning at Rs 12,45,000.

Officials also reported that the most significant interest was for the 142-flat housing scheme known as Panerio ki Madri in Udaipur, designed for economically weaker sections and lower-income categories, priced from Rs 11,68,000.

“For the Udaipur scheme, we received 18 times more applications than available units,” the official added.

Additionally, RHB has launched projects in Atru, located in Baran district, and on Langera Road in Barmer.
