Odisha Minister Delivers PMAY-U Work Orders in Sambalpur


SAMBALPUR: On Friday, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan issued work orders under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) and distributed welfare scheme benefits at an event in Sambalpur district.

He announced that 855 urban poor families would receive work orders totaling Rs 2.5 lakh each under PMAY (Urban) to build safe and quality homes, marking a significant step towards inclusive urban development.

During the event at Gangadhar Meher University auditorium, benefits of the Madhu Babu Pension Yojana were also distributed.

Attendees included Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, Sambalpur MLA Jayanarayan Mishra, District Collector Siddheshwar Baliram Bondar, and Sambalpur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rehan Khatri.
