MUMBAI: MHADA’s Mumbai Board has announced a lottery for the sale of 2,640 apartments in the city. The application process begins today, March 30, with the lottery draw scheduled for 11:00 AM on May 15.
The apartments are located in several areas, including Kannamwar Nagar in Vikhroli, Patra Chawl in Goregaon, Old Magathane in Borivali, Gorai Borivali, Subhash Nagar in Chembur, Gandhi Nagar in Bandra, Pant Nagar in Ghatkopar, Girgaum, Wadala, Kopri in Powai, Mazgaon, Tunga in Powai, Lokmanya Nagar in Dadar, Pahadi Goregaon, and Antop Hill Wadala.
Of the total flats, 145 are available for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), 858 for the Lower Income Group (LIG), 1,408 for the Middle Income Group (MIG), and 229 for the Higher Income Group (HIG).
The online application registration and form filling commence today at 3:00 PM after an inauguration by MHADA vice president and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal. The advertisement has been published in today’s newspapers and is available on the MHADA website. An informational booklet regarding the lottery process will also be accessible there.
Registered applicants can submit applications online until April 29. The acceptance of earnest money will be open until April 30, with payments accepted via RTGS/NEFT until banking hours on that date.
The provisional list of applications will be published on May 5, and claims or objections can be submitted until May 8. The final list of accepted applications will be released on May 12, ahead of the lottery on May 15.
This lottery includes 1,762 homes currently under construction by the Mumbai Board, alongside 371 flats received from developers as part of redevelopment projects. Additionally, 188 apartments from redevelopment projects and 319 scattered apartments that remained unsold in previous lotteries are included.
A mobile application titled ‘MHADA Housing Lottery System’ is also available for users.
Applicants must link their mobile number to their Aadhaar and provide an email ID for registration. Required documents include an Aadhaar card, PAN card, Maharashtra domicile certificate, and proof of income. The annual income limits for participation are: up to ₹6 lakh for EWS, up to ₹9 lakh for LIG, up to ₹12 lakh for MIG, and over ₹12 lakh for HIG.
