JAIPUR: To enhance revenue generation, JMC-Greater is now offering residents the option to pay their urban development (UD) tax online or request home collection services. Starting July 1, the JMC-G will also conduct tax collection camps in all wards on a rotational basis.
Officials have stated that property owners can call the toll-free number 1800-572-8545, which is managed by the corporation’s authorized firm, to arrange for a collection agent to visit their home. Additionally, UD tax payments can be made through any UPI application using the QR code printed on the UD tax bill.
At the collection camps, property owners must bring necessary documents related to their property, previous bills, and any paperwork addressing past objections. They can also check outstanding UD tax information and make payments online via the civic body’s website.
During a review meeting on Monday, JMC-G commissioner Gaurav Saini instructed officials to organize ward-specific camps every 15 days from July 1 to July 31, operating from 10 AM to 5 PM.
Saini emphasized the importance of collaboration with ward councillors, public representatives, trade boards, and development committees for the successful execution of these camps. He added that any objections raised during the camps should be resolved on the same day.
To further boost revenue collection, officials indicated that UD tax camps would continue throughout August.
