JAIPUR: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has delineated areas across 27 zones following the Master Plan 2047. Officials indicated that the number of zones will increase by 11 from the current 18; however, four zones of Prithvi Raj Nagar (PRN) will be merged into two, maintaining a total of 27 zones.
“We finalized the zone demarcations and approved the new maps on Friday,” shared a JDA official.
The areas from Zone 1 to Zone 8, which include the city’s central business districts, will remain unchanged. These are generally situated within the older ring road of Jaipur that spans the C-Scheme Bypass, 200-Feet Bypass, ISKON Road, and the Jhalana Bypass.
“Most of the newly added villages under Master Plan 2047 fall within Zones 15 to 25 in the updated map. Minor adjustments were made in Zones 9 to 11 compared to the previous layout,” the official noted.
In Zone 9, several villages from Sanganer Tehsil have been included, while Zone 10 has incorporated villages from Bassi Tehsil.
“For the moment, the divisional commissioners overseeing the existing 18 zones have been assigned additional responsibilities for the 27 zones. The JDA plans to appoint dedicated division commissioners for each zone soon,” another official stated.
