INDORE: To facilitate the development of the MR-10 road, the Indore Development Authority (IDA) plans to construct high-rise apartments to accommodate affected families. “The IDA board has decided to build housing units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 on a 1.613-hectare plot (FP-422) in IDA’s Town Planning Scheme (TPS)-08,” announced IDA CEO RP Ahirwar. This initiative will help relocate impacted families into new flats.
The board meeting, chaired by Divisional Commissioner and Chairman Deepak Singh, yielded several key decisions aimed at progressing various development projects in the city. “A Rs 48.81 crore tender was approved for constructing a new Rail Over Bridge between Laxmibai Nagar and Mangalia railway stations along the MR-10 road,” added the CEO.
Additionally, tenders were sanctioned for the relocation of High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) power lines, including a Rs 3.93 crore tender for finalizing a 60-metre-wide road and a Rs 1.90 crore tender for moving lines obstructing master plan roads in TPS-4 (Nipania and Kanadiya). “The board also greenlit a tender for the creation of a 12-meter-wide link road from Ring Road to MR-11, which will include street lighting and relocation of HT/LT lines,” stated Ahirwar.
