India’s Real Estate Sees $1.76B Institutional Investment in Q3 2025

NEW DELHI: The Indian real estate sector attracted institutional investments totaling USD 1.76 billion in Q3 2025, marking the highest quarterly influx for any Q3 in the last four years, as stated in a Vestian report.

While there was a slight decline of 2% in investments from the previous quarter, this represents an impressive 83% increase from the same time last year.

The commercial sector continued to lead, accounting for 79% of the total investments, exceeding its previous records of 61% and 71% in the last quarter and the same quarter last year, respectively.

In terms of value, investments in this sector reached nearly USD 1.4 billion, indicating a remarkable 104% annual growth.

The residential sector garnered investments of USD 191.7 million in Q3 2025, contributing 11% to the total, a decrease from 21% in the previous quarter. This shows a quarterly drop of 49%, despite a year-on-year growth of 6%.

The industrial and warehousing sector accounted for just 5% of total institutional investments, but saw a significant jump of 168% from the previous quarter, totaling USD 85.8 million, driven primarily by increasing demand for logistics parks.

Shrinivas Rao, the CEO, noted, “As foreign investors tread cautiously, the significant rise in domestic investments highlights growing confidence among local stakeholders in India’s economic growth.”

The share of foreign investments fell to a yearly low of 8%, while domestic investments surged to a record high of 51%, reflecting a 115% annual and 166% quarterly increase in value.
