LUDHIANA: The municipal corporation has taken action against an illegal colony in Mundian Kalan as part of its ongoing effort to combat unauthorized construction. This demolition occurred on Friday, focusing on the developer and multiple buildings on the premises.
Under the orders of municipal commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal, the MC’s Zone B building branch executed the demolition. Officials indicated that the developer was unlawfully constructing the colony, leading to the removal of all illegal structures on site.
The MC has been actively monitoring and addressing illegal construction throughout the city. Earlier this week, they took action against four unauthorized structures in the Model Town and Kochar Market areas.
Municipal officials urge residents to start construction only after obtaining an approved building plan from the civic body and warned that strict action will be enforced against any further illegal building activities.
