Goa Minister Halts All Projects by Prabhu Realtors

PANAJI: Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has instructed the Town and Country Planning (TCP) department to suspend all approvals for real estate developments initiated by Prabhu Realtors. He stated that no files submitted by Amit Prabhu, a business partner with Prabhu Realtors, will be processed until the water contamination and other issues at the Prabhu Violetta housing complex in Chicalim are addressed.

“I have already mandated that all projects pertaining to Amit Prabhu be put on hold. He is currently untraceable, and I have been approached by concerned individuals. It is his duty to rectify these issues, and until he does so, I have ordered all his files at the TCP department to remain suspended,” Rane remarked.

Additionally, as the TCP minister, Rane has requested the health secretary to form a committee comprising officials from the Food and Drugs Administration, Directorate of Health Services, TCP department, and representatives from the housing colony.

“We need to assess their concerns and provide them with an opportunity to articulate their viewpoints. The committee will be duly informed,” he added.

Rane emphasized that any lapses or fraudulent activities by builders will not be tolerated, announcing his intention to take a strong stance against Prabhu Realtors.

“Any files associated with Amit Prabhu will be either suspended or denied, as we cannot allow anyone to jeopardize people’s lives and health,” Rane concluded.
