GURUGRAM: An FIR has been filed against six directors of two real estate companies for fraud and criminal conspiracy.
According to police, a resident of Sector 54 alleged that she was swindled out of ₹5 crore regarding a commercial project in Sector 57. The case has been registered under IPC sections 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 420 (cheating) at Sector 56 police station.
The accused include Sanjay Gupta, Deepak Gupta, and Akshat Gupta, directors of Ameya Commercial Projects, as well as Anjali Gupta, Ekta Gupta, and Varuni Gupta, directors of Anek Estates and Ventures.
Complainant Mridula Kumari claimed she was misled into investing in Ameya Sapphire 57 after being told that Anek Estates and Ventures LLP was affiliated with Ameya Commercial Projects.
A police officer stated, “No arrests have been made as of now, but further action will follow a thorough investigation.” Despite repeated inquiries, the directors of Ameya Commercial Projects have not yet addressed the allegations.
After purchasing four units, Mridula accused the directors of verbal abuse, humiliation, and threats, claiming she now experiences “fear and mental trauma” due to their intimidation.
Introduced to the project by a real estate agent who vouched for the developers’ credibility, Mridula alleged that the accused lured her into investing by promising timely delivery and representing themselves as reputable builders. She paid the full sale amount, and an agreement was executed on May 16, 2024, asserting that no additional payments were necessary.
However, Mridula claimed that, despite the agreement with Ameya Commercial Projects, she was coerced into depositing all funds into Anek Estates and Ventures LLP’s account, which she believes was a tactic to obscure the true beneficiary and evade legal responsibility.
The agreement stipulated that possession and the execution of the sale deed would occur within three months of issuing the occupation certificate (OC), which was granted on July 28, 2025. Yet, she alleged that despite this, neither possession was granted nor the sale deed executed.
