RAIPUR: Durg has maintained its lead in the latest performance report of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G).
The district achieved an average performance score of 89.5% across four essential indicators, followed by Surajpur and Raipur in second and third places, respectively, retaining their prior standings.
Durg’s collector, Abhijit Singh, stated that consistent efforts are key to the successful implementation of the scheme.
Dhamtari has advanced to fourth place, moving ahead of Balod, which has fallen to fifth. Koriya district saw significant improvement, rising three ranks from 17th to 14th and achieving the highest sanction rate in the state at 108.6%.
In contrast, Korba and Gariaband each dropped two positions in the rankings, with Korba falling from 6th to 8th and Gariaband from 14th to 16th.
The report highlights underperformance in the southern districts. Bijapur is at the bottom with an average score of 50.2% and a completion rate of 24.6%. Sukma and Narayanpur are also among the lowest, with average scores of 64.1% and 64.8%, respectively.
The overall state-wide completion rate for housing currently stands at 70.2%, with a target of constructing 26.27 lakh homes.
