Five Jaipur Metro Roads Designated as Transit-Oriented Corridors


JAIPUR: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has announced five major roads along the metro line to be designated as Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) corridors.

A TOD corridor is an area within an 800-meter radius of metro stations, where mixed land use—including residential, commercial, and industrial—is required.

On Thursday, JDA commissioner Anandhi stated that this decision aligns with the state government’s Transit-Oriented Development Policy-2025.

The designated TOD corridors include:

  • Veer Tejaji Circle to Pandit TN Mishra Marg junction (1.4 km)
  • Pandit TN Mishra Marg junction to Bharat Ashram Marg junction (1.5 km)
  • Bharat Ashram Marg junction to Janpath Marg junction (1.1 km)
  • Janpath junction to ESI Road junction (1.6 km)
  • ESI Road junction to Tonk Road junction (1.3 km)

Goa’s Residential Complexes with 24+ Units Must Have STPs

Representative Image PANAJI: The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has mandated that any residential complex with 24 or more flats must be equipped with a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). According to the Goa Land Development and Buildings Regulations, 2010, complexes with 50 or more flats are required to have an STP only if they’re not connected to existing sewerage lines. The GSPCB’s decision comes after a comprehensive study on the volume of waste generated by housing complexes.
