JAIPUR: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has sealed six illegal constructions in the Adarsh Nagar zone as part of a special drive in areas such as Regaron Ki Kothi, Babu Ka Teeba, Dairy Walon Ki Gali, and Jawahar Nagar.
Zonal deputy commissioner Rajendra Kumar noted that routine inspections revealed numerous commercial establishments and plots engaged in construction without the necessary approvals or permissions.
“Given the seriousness of the violations, we sealed all six sites. Unauthorized construction not only disrupts planned development but also poses significant safety risks,” he stated.
The JMC has emphasized the importance of securing proper approvals before any construction begins. Officials have observed that many continue to undertake residential or commercial projects without sanctioned building plans, leading to future disputes and enforcement actions. In several instances, shops and multi-storey buildings were being constructed without approved maps, prompting the corporation to enhance its enforcement efforts.
The administration has pledged to maintain strict action against encroachments, illegal structures, and any activities undertaken without the requisite permissions.
