Motorola Solutions has secured over 200 seats at its Kolkata center through a lease with managed office space provider, Smartworks, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The lease spans 60 months, encompassing space within the 110,000 sq. ft. center.
In the last quarter, Smartworks expanded by leasing over one million sq. ft. across four major cities.
The firm leased significant spaces including 110,000 sq. ft. in Kolkata, 200,000 sq. ft. in Bengaluru, 557,000 sq. ft. in Mumbai, and 165,000 sq. ft. in Pune during the April–June period.
As of June 30, 2025, Smartworks’ leased portfolio reached 10.08 million sq. ft., with 0.70 million sq. ft. undergoing fit-out and 1.07 million sq. ft. set for handover in Q2 and Q3.
Since FY19, Smartworks has added 8.6 million sq. ft. across key cities like Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. The occupancy rate in operational centers exceeds 83%, with committed occupancy over 89%.
Smartworks also operates two centers in Singapore, totaling 35,036 sq. ft., and has a presence in Tier-1 and Tier-2 cities throughout India, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and Pune.
