NOIDA: The Noida Authority is set to conduct a comprehensive topographic survey across key areas of the city to assess land availability, delineate boundaries, and enhance its land bank for future sector development.
The agency selection process is currently ongoing, with applications open until September 16.
According to officials, this initiative will clarify the status of various land parcels, allowing for systematic and transparent planning of sector developments.
“This study is crucial for guiding both current and future developments,” an official stated, noting that the survey will serve as a foundation for upcoming projects in the area.
The survey will encompass significant stretches along the Yamuna Expressway and Noida Expressway, particularly sectors 144 to 148 and 162 to 150, including both sides of the drain parallel to the expressway. Areas near the Hindon River and internal drainage close to Sector 150 will also be surveyed.
The chosen agency will detail the mapping of land surface features, such as elevation, depth, size, and spatial location.
The resulting report will outline the status of vacant land, identify encroached areas, and highlight parcels of land that are undevelopable due to natural features like water bodies. This effort aims to expand the Authority’s land holdings while minimizing potential ownership disputes and encroachments.
Officials indicated that Sector 147 has been prioritized for development, and this survey will clarify the land’s readiness for construction and infrastructure projects.
Upon receiving the final report, the Authority will formulate a strategy to determine how much land can be used for residential, commercial, or institutional purposes versus what must be preserved for ecological balance.
The topographic survey is expected to significantly influence Noida’s expansion strategy, especially given the increasing demand for land along the expressway and upcoming infrastructure projects, including the Noida International Airport.
