BHUBANESWAR: A high-level meeting, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, will address important issues related to the Odisha Real Estate Regulatory Authority (ORERA) on Wednesday, focusing on enhancing the authority’s operations.
This marks the second meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary in recent weeks, following a leadership change at ORERA in June. The initial meeting took place on June 17, and this upcoming discussion will likely focus on the potential introduction of a regularization mechanism for pre-RERA apartments.
The agenda, obtained by TOI, also covers discussions on access to private land and the approval process for using government land as access roads for housing projects. Other topics will include transitioning leasehold land to freehold where building plans have been sanctioned, as well as addressing encroachments on conservancy lanes.
