Uttar Pradesh Minister: 380 Registration Offices to Get Own Buildings


VARANASI: On Saturday, UP Minister Ravindra Jaiswal announced plans to construct dedicated buildings for all 380 registration offices in the state, equipped with world-class amenities. This was revealed during the inauguration of eight registration office buildings with an investment of Rs 18.56 crore.

The minister also remotely inaugurated a new sub-registrar office in Sagri, Azamgarh district, and laid foundation stones for several offices in Chandauli, Shravasti, Jay Singhpur, Maholi, Ramsanehighat, Lambhua, Sawayajpur, and again in Shravasti.

“Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the initiative to operate all registration offices in their own buildings aims to enhance public service,” he stated. “These will be state-of-the-art and fitted with modern facilities.”

Jaiswal mentioned that he had received requests from district representatives and officials for the construction of these offices, affirming that arrangements are underway in each district. He also announced that the foundation stone for the registration office in Lucknow will be placed on Wednesday. He emphasized the importance of timely and quality construction, instructing engineers to adhere to this mandate and conduct third-party inspections to ensure quality standards. All buildings will feature uniform color schemes and include provisions for solar energy and water harvesting.

He further instructed sub-registrars to maintain a friendly demeanor with visitors and streamline their tasks. Additionally, he assured that measures would be taken to address staff shortages to avoid delays in service.

During the event, several officials were present, including Dhirendra Kumar Saini, Assistant Inspector General Registration, Rajesh Kumar Singh (Jaunpur), Pankaj Kumar Singh (Bhadohi), Richa Pandey (Sub-Registrar First, Varanasi), Anil Kumar Mishra (Gangapur Varanasi), Santosh Kumar Pandey (Sadar Jaunpur), Rakesh Kumar Mishra (Madiyahu, Jaunpur), and District Informatics Officer Avinash Sharma.
