RANCHI: Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) commemorated the 10th anniversary of the launch of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) (PMAYU) on Saturday, marking a decade since its initiation on June 25, 2015.
The event highlighted RMC’s progress in providing dignified homes under the national “Housing for All” mission. In ten years, RMC has completed 11,052 houses out of a sanctioned target of 12,587, achieving an 88% completion rate.
From January to June this year, 183 more houses have been delivered to beneficiaries.
Today’s celebration featured griha pravesh ceremonies in five wards, including Burdman Compound, where five new households, supported by Nigam officials, received the keys to their new homes.
The families were also handed over plants to foster “green beginnings” in their homes.
