GURUGRAM: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that cleanliness, beautification, and planned urban development in Gurugram are top priorities for the state government.
During a meeting in Gurugram, he instructed officials from all construction agencies and relevant departments to ensure that Construction and Demolition waste is disposed of at designated sites, adhering to scientific standards.
A total of 15 grievances were reviewed in the meeting, with 13 resolved immediately. Directions were given to hold off on two cases until the next meeting, with Saini asking for status reports on these pending matters.
Highlighting the importance of addressing complaints received via the CM Window, Saini stated that he regularly reviews submissions and instructed all officials to handle each case with seriousness, impartiality, and within the designated time frame.
He warned that negligence or improper conduct from officials would lead to strict actions.
Residents’ Welfare Association (RWA) members from Wazirpur Enclave raised several civic issues. They reported ongoing shortages of basic amenities despite their colony being regularized by the government and requested enhancements to the power infrastructure due to population growth.
In light of these complaints, Saini directed relevant departments to conduct a joint survey of the colony and prioritize issue resolution.
An RWA from Sector-83 alerted the Chief Minister about a builder disconnecting electricity for residents who hadn’t paid maintenance charges, causing undue hardship.
Saini responded by instructing authorities to prevent any builder from cutting off electricity supplies for maintenance fee recovery, warning that any violators would face legal action.
A complainant from Sector-102 informed Saini of a builder dumping Construction and Demolition (C&D) waste unlawfully. Saini mandated that no C&D waste be discarded in the open throughout Gurugram within a month and that violators face fines, with a robust mechanism to prevent future infractions put in place.
