INDORE: The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) carried out demolition operations at two sites in the city on Tuesday, focusing on unauthorized encroachments on public land and unsafe structures.

Responding to public complaints about encroachment on a municipal garden, an IMC team, supported by police, removed illegal structures in the Chhota Bangarda area under IMC Zone 16. According to removal officer Ankesh Birthariya, the garden has now been cleared of these unauthorized constructions.

The removal team also conducted a second operation in the Chhoti Gwaltoli area, where they demolished two rooms and an overhanging balcony from a deteriorating residential building to prevent potential collapses. As a precaution, commercial shops located directly beneath the structure were temporarily closed during the demolition.

Birthariya noted that municipal teams are actively working across the city to eliminate encroachments and dismantle any structurally unsafe buildings, particularly to reduce risks during the rainy season.
