AYODHYA: The Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has officially released the second phase of the Ayodhya Master Plan, which encompasses 766.39 sq km across the Ayodhya, Basti, and Gonda districts.

This comprehensive master plan includes various sectors such as residential, commercial, mixed-use, industrial, office spaces, public and semi-public facilities, transportation, and entertainment.

According to ADA officials, the entertainment sector will integrate green spaces, and the master plan will feature 1,200 natural ponds as per existing revenue records.

Vice-Chairman Anurag Jain stated, “This phase of the Ayodhya Master Plan includes 353 villages from Gonda, Basti, and Ayodhya, comprising the full jurisdiction of the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation, Bhadarsa Municipal Board, and Nawabganj Municipal Board in Gonda.”

“The master plan includes around 1,200 natural ponds of varying sizes, and for rural areas beyond the urbanization boundary, land along highways is designated for a facility zone to address commercial, social, and transportation needs,” he added.

“This will support the development of commercial ventures like hotels, eateries, and petrol stations along the highways,” Jain noted.

The housing and urban planning department has granted final approval for the second phase, which will shape future urban development in the area.

This phase also aims to incorporate villages in the neighboring Basti and Gonda districts to meet future demands.
