GURUGRAM: On February 25th, illegal constructions were sealed and three unauthorized colonies were demolished in the Pataudi subdivision during an enforcement operation led by the town and country planning department, with police support. Officials explained that the actions were in response to complaints regarding unauthorized plotting in the city’s peripheral urban areas.
The operation included the sealing of an illegal floor at Enkay Town Plaza in Palam Vihar, initiated by a complaint submitted through the CM Window grievance portal. Additionally, an unauthorized office operating within the Brisk Lumbini club, located in Sector 109, was also sealed for violating approved land usage norms.
Action was taken against three unauthorized colonies in Pataudi subdivision. In a 4-acre colony in Narhera, 15 plot demarcations and internal earthen roads were removed. In Pataudi village, a 2.5-acre illegal layout was cleared, demolishing five boundary walls and road networks. In another 4-acre colony in Jatoli, plot demarcations, one under-construction structure, and parts of two houses were demolished.
In Jatoli village, about four acres of an unauthorized colony were targeted with the removal of five plot demarcations, foundations, one under-construction structure, and partial demolition of two houses.
“Proper procedures were followed, and police were present to ensure law and order,” an official stated, noting that this enforcement action is part of the ongoing efforts against illegal construction, unauthorized colonies, and misuse of properties in Gurgaon and its surroundings.
Officials indicated that the enforcement teams will persist in acting on complaints and conducting field operations to monitor violations of building and land use regulations across the district.
