Noida Techie Death: NBW Issued for Lotus Founder Nirmal Singh

NOIDA: A non-bailable warrant has been issued for the absconding founder of Lotus Greens, Nirmal Singh, linked to the death of engineer Yuvraj Mehta, who drowned after his car fell into a waterlogged trench in Sector 150 on January 17.

Singh has evaded capture since the case came to light, prompting multiple police raids to locate and arrest him. Authorities warned that failure to surrender could result in property attachment proceedings against him.

Singh faces charges under various acts, including the Environment Protection Act of 1986 and the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act of 1974, along with multiple sections of the Building Nuisance Statute for negligent construction and public endangerment.

The FIR also charges Abhay Kumar, the owner of the commercial plot and director of MZ Wiztown, along with three other stakeholders from Lotus Greens: Sanjay Kumar, Manish Kumar, and Achal Bohra.

So far, Abhay Kumar has been arrested along with two Lotus Greens directors, Ravi Bansal and Sachin Karnwal, under sections relating to culpable homicide, negligent death, and endangerment.

Kumar was apprehended on January 20, with Bansal and Karnwal being arrested on January 22. Following their arrests, police sealed the offices of both builders in Noida.
