NOIDA: The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has introduced a scheme offering 24 industrial plots across various sectors to stimulate investment and promote industrial development.

The plots are situated in Ecotech-1 (Extension 1), Ecotech-6, Ecotech-8, Ecotech-10, Ecotech-11, and Sector 16. Officials indicated that this initiative aims to enhance Greater Noida’s status as a manufacturing and logistics hub, capitalizing on its close proximity to Noida International Airport.

Applicants will be assessed based on criteria such as financial stability, net worth, and employment generation potential, with extra consideration given to start-ups, export-oriented units, women entrepreneurs, SC/ST applicants, and expansion plans. Those shortlisted will be invited for interviews prior to final allocation.

The sizes of the plots range from approximately 9,000 square meters to 1 lakh square meters, providing options for both small and large enterprises. A registration fee of 10% of the premium is required, based on the current industrial rate of Rs 35,000 per sqm.

Officials noted that Ecotech-1 (Extension 1) will feature seven plots, Ecotech-8 will have five, Ecotech-10 will consist of two, and Ecotech-11 will have six plots. Sector 16 will accommodate three plots, while Ecotech-6 will contain the largest plot at 1 lakh sqm, valued at around Rs 350 crore.

These plots can be utilized for various industries, including agro and food processing, textiles, electronics manufacturing, semiconductors, electric vehicles, defense and aerospace, data centers, dairy and poultry, and renewable energy.

Applications can be submitted through the Nivesh Mitra portal or the authority’s website. The scheme was launched on April 11, with the application deadline set for May 12.

Allottees may choose to pay the full premium within 90 days or 40% within 60 days, with the remainder payable over four years in half-yearly installments. The plots will be leased on a 90-year basis.
