UNA: Financial assistance amounting to approximately Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned for 117 eligible families in Una, Himachal Pradesh, as part of the second phase of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, an official announced on Saturday.
Each beneficiary is set to receive Rs 2.5 lakh in four installments upon the completion of their construction work, according to Manoj Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Una Municipal Corporation.
The official urged beneficiaries to commence construction without delay, abide by the scheme’s guidelines, and ensure that the work is completed within a year.
Eligible families may also apply through the unified web portal to gain access to the scheme’s benefits, Kumar added.
Under this scheme, a total of 256 houses have been approved across various urban bodies in the district, including 117 in Una, 40 in Bangana, 36 in Amb, 30 in Santokhgarh, 13 in Mehtpur-Basdehra, 9 in Daulatpur Chowk, 7 in Tahliwal, and 4 in Gagret, with a total allocation of Rs 6.40 crore, he stated.
